Consolidating a decade of success for Ecomondo and the more recent success of KeyEnergy, Rimini Fiera bolsters these two events with the launch of ENERGYES, an exhibition space dedicated to efficient use of energy.
The decision to create a specific space devoted to this theme reflects an awareness of the growing importance of energy efficiency in reducing our dependence on foreign energy, in revitalizing the economy in these difficult times and in hitting our targets in terms of reducing emissions of climate changing gases.
To meet the objectives set for 2020, the European Commission estimates we will have to cut our consumption by 20% based on typical current usage. This could produce significant economic benefits for consumers and the country in general, as illustrated by important studies, like the Enel-sponsored study by McKinsey.
The fair will showcase the most exciting solutions (from an energy-efficiency point of view) in the fields of lighting, household appliances, plants for air conditioning, building materials, industrial applications, domotics and urbotics (namely, automation technology applied to the home and the city).
The fair will dedicate space to high energy efficiency technologies already available on the market and to more innovative projects currently being developed by industry and research centres.
ENERGYES will host technologies and operating systems that allow us to achieve end objectives with the lowest possible energy consumption. Also present will be the major utilities and startups working to achieve energy efficiency, plus central and decentralized agencies working to promote policies to reduce consumption.
